About me
Hi, I’m Mel! What I love most about yoga is connecting with community, sweat & movement, & making space for the sacred. Based out of beautiful Long Beach, NY, I’ve been practicing yoga for over 15 years with many inspiring teachers. I love vinyasa & yin asana practices & have been working on the ashtanga primary series for over two years. My favorite thing to do when I travel to a new place is to pop into a yoga class.
The practice has brought me a lot of healing, solace, & grounding through the ups & downs of life. It’s hard to describe my personal experience because it’s so personal. Everyone has their own reason for stepping onto the mat. When I step onto the mat I feel connected to the vastness of existence, humbly supplicant to dynamic animate forces, & a sense that I’m tapping into a deep mystery. That is to say - yoga helps me deal with & make space for my existential questions!
